Director (Finance) & CFO with Addl. Charge of Chairman and Managing Director 

Shri C B Ananthakrishnan was appointed as Director (Finance) & CFO of the Company with effect from August 1, 2018.  He is a Commerce Graduate and Post Graduate in Business Administration from Madras University and is a fellow member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has also received management and leadership training from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Institut Aeronautique et. Spatiale (IAS) Toulouse, France.  

Prior to his appointment as Director (Finance), he was holding the post of Executive Director (Finance) in Corporate Office of the Company and handling overall Financial Planning and strategy, treasury management and taxation.

He joined HAL in 2004 and has over 35 years of work experience in both public and private sectors with stints in merchant banking, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers and Aerospace Industries. During his stints in Helicopter Division as Head of the Finance, he was instrumental in developing financial strategies and policies for pricing, cost control and profit planning for achieving overall goals of the Company and also secured one of the largest Helicopter Contracts for the Company valuing in excess of Rs. 14000 Crore. He was instrumental for Conclusion of prices for Repair & Overhaul and Supply of Spares by 3rd Pricing Policy Review Committee (PPRC), Conclusion of 73 ALH Contracts for Army and IN & ICG and Implementation of Ind AS etc.

He has played a pivotal role during Initial Public Offering (IPO) and listing of the Company shares during March 2018. He was instrumental in securing orders of 83 LCA MK IA and 15 LCH.

Shri Ananthakrishnan has been entrusted with additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Company w.e.f 1st August, 2022.

Shri Jayadeva E. P

Director (Operations) 

Shri Jayadeva E. P.  holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore and did Masters from IIT Madras in Aircraft Production Engineering.

He joined Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in 1987 as a Management Trainee, and has about 33 years of experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Assembly, Overhaul, Upgrades, Customer support, Indigenisation and other Management functions. He worked in various Divisions/Offices like Overhaul Division, Aircraft Division, LCA Tejas Division and Corporate Office. He is known for his contributions in managing new Fighter Aircraft Manufacturing, Overhaul and Upgrade from project inception to execution stage. In his stint at corporate planning he has played a significant role in framing perspective plans of the Company. He was instrumental in establishment of Repair & Overhaul and Upgrade facility for Kiran, Hawk and Mirage Aircraft at Overhaul Division. He was instrumental in developing indigenously high value Ground Support Equipment / Ground Handling Equipment for Overhaul and Upgrade lines. He has also served as Director on two (2) Joint Venture Companies of HAL.

Prior to taking over as Director (Operations), Shri Jayadeva was holding the post of General Manager, LCA Tejas Division, Bangalore.  During his tenure the division saw a sustained growth and reached production of 8 aircraft during 2021-22. He had taken path breaking steps with the strategic outsourcing of structural assemblies from Indian Industries, which is poised to grow further. He undertook the Product Quality enhancement initiatives and capacity augmentation process for Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) to double the rate of production to 16 aircraft per annum and successfully established second production for LCA.

Shri. Jayadeva steered the finalization of 83 LCA MK1A Contract with IAF during Feb 2021. The deal was considered biggest “Make in India” defence contract and will boost the defence eco-system in India.

Shri Jayadeva E P, has been entrusted with additional charge of Director (HR) of the Company w.e.f 1st December, 2022 till the appointment of regular incumbent.

Dr. D. K. Sunil

Director (Engg and R&D)

Dr. D. K. Sunil did his graduation in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad and M. Tech in Aircraft Production Engg from IIT, Madras. He also completed Ph.D in Electronics Science from University of Hyderabad in the year 2019. 

He joined Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in 1987 as a Management Trainee, and has about 33 years of experience in various key positions. 

In 1993, he was involved in the certification of the first Airborne Radio for the Light Combat Aircraft which went on to fly successfully.  He was part of a team that built the first Secure Radio for the MiG- 21 Upgrade programme in the year 2000, which was successfully certified in Russia and subsequently productionised in large numbers. 

In 2005, he was given the challenge of replacing an imported radio system on ALH and the ACS 235 secure radio was designed and productionised in 2010 and today it is the mainstay of the Army’s ALH fleet. 
He was Programme Manager for Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft for Avionic equipment to be designed at SLRDC. Under his leadership new technologies were developed like High Power Radar Power supply, Voice Activated Control System, Combined Interrogator Transponder which have become new growth areas for the company.  He also pioneered collaboration with IIT Kanpur for datalinks and IIIT, Hyderabad for voice recognition technologies.

In 2016 he moved to Mission Combat Systems R&D Centre in Bengaluru where he led teams working on Active ESA Radar, Automatic Flight Control System for LCH and Mission Computers for helicopter and fighter platforms. The Flight Control System for LCH was being developed indigenously for the first time in the country and flight safety issues were paramount.  He had the unique experience of melding the efforts of four R&D centres of HAL to achieve this goal.

In the last few years, he has focussed on new areas such as Engine Control Systems, Design Perspective Plan and improving collaboration with IITs and startups for new technologies.  He has lead design projects at equipment level as well at system level for aircraft and helicopter. His experience covers the whole range of design activities pursued at HAL design centres from LRU to aircraft level.

He has published 7 papers in peer reviewed journals. He holds 9 copyrights related to wireless communication. He has been an member of DGCA external expert committee for certification of Hindustan - Dornier 228 Aircraft.

Prior to taking over as Director (Engg and R&D), Dr. D K Sunil was holding the post of General Manager (SLRDC) in Hyderabad.

Shri Atasi Baran Pradhan

Shri Atasi Baran Pradhan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (Hons.) and PG Degree in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He also holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University Law College, Bhubaneswar.
 
He joined Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in 2005 and has 35 years of rich and varied experience in Human Resource function serving in both Public and Private Sectors with exposure to various industries that are dealing with Engineering, Metallurgy, Paper, Aerospace & Defence that are situated in various parts of India.
 
During his service career, he has been instrumental in introduction of IT-enabled HR Systems like Personnel information System, Performance Management System, ERP, Introduction of other On-line HR interventions, etc. Some of the major accomplishments of Shri Pradhan includes substantial number of wage agreements achieved through Collective bargaining, improving efficiency of workmen through various methods like piece rate wages, reduction in Standard Man Hours & overtime and introduction of TPM concepts including Kaizen and Fugai. He has streamlined the Contract labour system wherever necessary and played a key role in outsourcing of non-core HR activities like Canteen, transport Services, Security of Township, maintenance of Guest house etc.
 
Shri Atasi Baran Pradhan has wide exposure to whole gamut of HR functions like Industrial Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Wage Negotiation & Settlements, Statutory Compliance, HR Policy formulation, Manpower Planning, Recruitment & Career Development, Skill Development & Training, Performance Management, Facilities Management and Legal Affairs.
 
Prior to taking over as Director (Human Resources), he was holding the post of Executive Director (Human Resources).

Director]

Shri T Natarajan has completed his graduation in Mining Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University and M.B.A. in Finance from Bharathidesan Institute of Management, Bharathidesan University. He is a 1996 batch Indian Administrative Officer from Gujarat Cadre.

Shri T Natarajan held various administrative posts in the Government of India related to Economic Affairs, Finance, Revenue, HRD, etc. and also served as director in many listed and unlisted companies. He is presently holding the post of Additional Secretary (Defence Production) in Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India.

Shri MZ Siddique, Distinguished Scientist and Director General (Aeronautical systems), is a Mechanical Engineer and has completed the fellowship programme on “Gas Turbine Technology” from Institute of Armament Technology (IAT), Pune in 1988.  During early 90’s, he underwent one year training at M/s General Electric, USA on aero gas turbine engine component testing and evaluation.

Shri MZ Siddique joined Gas Turbine Research Establishment GTRE, Bengaluru as Scientist ‘B’ in 1988 and was associated with the design and testing of axial flow compressor systems. In the year December 2007, he was appointed as Project Director (Kaveri). The successful completion of altitude testing at Central Institute of Aviation Motors (CIAM), Russia and Flying Test Bed (FTB) trials of Kaveri engine in IL-76 aircraft at Gromov Flight Research Institute (GFRI), Russia was conducted under his leadership. For this achievement, he was awarded “DRDO Agni award for excellence in self reliance – Team leader” in the year 2010.

Shri MZ Siddique was appointed as Director, GTRE in August 2015. As Director GTRE, he held multi-dimensional roles and was responsible for the design and development, of military gas turbine engines in the country. Under his leadership, various technology demonstrator and mission mode projects pertaining to indigenous development of gas turbine systems and technologies are progressing for the various airborne applications. Multiple research projects towards the futuristic aero engine propulsion technology requirements of the country are being pursued through Indian academia, industry and national research institutions.
 
Shri MZ Siddique is providing technology leadership guidance for many national research and development initiatives pursuing gas turbine related research in the Country and he is the national representative for International Society of Air Breathing Engines (ISABE). He represented the nation in the Indo-US joint working group for jet engine technology as Co-Chair under the Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) & participated in the deliberations of Indo-US critical technology initiative. He spearheaded the GAS Turbine Enabling Technology (GATET) program, a pan India initiative associating Indian academia for developing cutting edge technologies for aircraft engines.
 
Shri MZ Siddique was appointed as Director General (Naval Systems & Materials) in the year 2022. He steered many critical projects related to sonars, air independent propulsion, stealth materials, critical and emerging aerospace materials, etc. Presently, he is leading the Aeronautical Systems Cluster Laboratories as Director General with the responsibility of design and development of state-of-the-art UAV’s, Manned and Unmanned Aircrafts, Aero Gas Turbine engine technology, Air borne surveillance systems, technologies and systems related to parachute and lighter than-air systems for the Armed forces.

Dr. Divya GuptaDr. Divya Gupta

Dr. Divya Gupta has been appointed as Non-Official (Independent) Director on the Board of our Company on 28th December, 2021.  Though she is a social activist and Doctor by profession, she has more than 36 years of experience in handling corporate affairs being director in two companies, where she involves herself in decision making process and playing a crucial role in increasing the shareholders’ wealth.
She is also an active member of various social organisation where she immensely contributed to the society especially for making women self-dependent and capable. She is a columnist and keeps regularly writing in newspapers & magazines, on social issues.
Apart from various awards and accreditations she got in the past, she was recently awarded with “Dr. Sorojini Naidu International Award for Best Working Women” during year 2021.

Shri Deepak Abasaheb Shinde

Shri Deepak Abasaheb Shinde has been appointed as Non-Official (Independent) Director on the Board of our Company with effect from April 28, 2022.

Shri Shinde has done B.E (Civil) from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and M.Tech (Civil, Structural Engg.) from IIT Madras. 

After completing his post-graduation from IIT Madras in 1981, he worked in a family firm Miraj Concrete Works where he executed various Irrigation pipeline projects. He has more than 40 years’ of work experience in different field and has promoted various private Ltd Companies during this period. He was also associated with Professional, Industrial, Financial, Educational and Social Organizations in different capacity.

Shri Sajal Prakash has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer, Accessories Complex (CEO-AC) of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at Lucknow on 01st September, 2019.  Shri Sajal Prakash holds a degree of B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur, a PG degree of M. Tech in Aircraft Production Engineering from IIT, Chennai and has completed Leadership Development Program at IIM, Ahmedabad.  

As CEO of Accessories Complex of HAL, Shri Sajal Prakash has administrative control and overall responsibility of Accessories Division –Lucknow, Avionics Division – Korwa(UP), Avionics Division – Hyderabad, Strategic Electronics Factory – Kasargod (Kerala), Transport Aircraft Division – Kanpur and HAL Detachment at Agra. While the establishments at Lucknow, Korwa, Hyderabad & Kasargod are currently engaged in manufacturing and repair/overhaul of accessories for both Fixed wing & Rotary wing aircraft & also of Aero-engines, TAD Kanpur Division & HAL detachment at Agra are engaged in manufacturing & Overhaul of Transport Aircraft.

Shri Sajal Prakash started his career in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. as a Management Trainee (Tech.) (XXI Batch) in the year 1986. During his career spanning over 33 years in HAL he has worked in various Divisions and Offices of HAL including TAD – Kanpur, HAL Corporate Office and Helicopter Division, Bangalore before taking over the Accessories Complex as CEO. 

Prior to this position, he was posted as General Manager at HAL – Transport Aircraft Division, Kanpur. He has rich experience in diverse fields like Project Management, Marketing, Business Development, Civil Aircraft & Helicopters. Shri Prakash with his rich and varied experience has been instrumental in identifying solutions related to intricate technical problems and strategic issues. He has provided valuable inputs and also extensively contributed to GOI's "Make in India" strategy, by manufacturing Civil Do-228 Aircraft and has set the roadmap for enhancing self-reliance & self-sufficiency through indigenisation efforts for obsolescence management and for developing alternate technology leading to product improvement & reduction in cost. 

Under his leadership, Transport Aircraft Division, Kanpur has overcome multiple challenges and emerged much stronger besides consistently meeting annual targets of all financial & physical parameters. Shri Prakash has taken several e-initiatives, implementation of which have brought in systemic changes, transparency & process improvement.

He has extensively travelled within India and abroad. He has very good understanding of International Aviation Industry across the globe. He is a team player to the core who leads his team by example and a passionate reader with excellent communication skill.

Shri Prakash is an active member of professional bodies like Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) and also has been the Chairman of Kanpur Branch (UP & Bihar Chapter) (AeSI) from July 2017 to August 2019.

Shri S Anbuvelan, is appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Helicopter Complex with effect from October 01st  2020. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Algappa Chettiar College of Engineering, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and also holds a Post Graduate Degree of M Tech in Aircraft Production Engineering from IIT Madras and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XIME, Bangalore. 
Shri S.Anbuvelan joined Hindustan Aeronautics Limited as Management Trainee (Technical)-21st Batch on July 21st, 1986 and has been associated with HAL for 34 years. He was elevated to the position of Executive Director, Helicopter Division in July 2020. Prior to his elevation, Shri Anbuvelan has served in various key positions within HAL.
Some of his achievements during his tenure in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited are, Productionising ALH’s Integrated Transmission Assembly, Ramping up Production of ALH Gear boxes, Reduction of snags during equipping of ALH, Training & Development of employees with a focus on Individual Development, Outsourcing management using web portal for R29 & R29B project, Quality improvements in ROH of Cheetah & Chetak Helicopters at Barrackpore. Streamlining of ALH Production, implementation of latest technologies in the field of Manufacturing & Assembly of Helicopter Products.
Shri Anbuvelan brings a vast amount of expertise in end-to-end process optimisation, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain management – key assets to transition of our company to the next levels of production efficiency. 
His diverse leadership background in Manufacturing and Production, as well as his insight across the broad portfolio of HAL’s Products and Services will help Helicopter Complex for renewed growth in the Indian Defense and Civil Helicopter market.

Shri Mihir Kanti Mishra

Shri Mihir Kanti Mishra has taken over the charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bangalore Complex, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) from July 1, 2022.
Shri Mishra, Management Trainee of 1987 batch, did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Sambalpur University and M. Tech in Aircraft Production Engineering from IIT, Madras. He has worked at Koraput, Corporate Office, TAD Kanpur and Aerospace Division in various capacities.
Prior to this appointment of CEO(BC), Shri Mishra was leading HAL’s space business unit, Aerospace Division, as General Manager. He led the team to support ISRO, as strategic partner, for Indian prestigious space programs.  He was instrumental in driving the business growth by moving upwards in value chain through establishment of new facilities for Cryo engine manufacturing and for providing end-to-end realisation of launching vehicle along with integration activities.
Shri Mishra started his career in manufacturing & assembly of MiG engines under Transfer of Technology (TOT) programme at Engine Division, Koraput and worked on absorption and assimilation of Technical Know-how and prove-out of manufacturing process for series production of MiG engines. He also played the key role in export of build to print work-packages of engine components, which was a first- time experience for the Division in exploring such opportunities.
He also had roles of increasing responsibility in Corporate Export Marketing function wherein he was responsible for evolving Company’s marketing strategy & initiatives on business development, new market promotion & industrial cooperation for enhancing global presence. He played a key role in driving export business growth with export of several platforms, both helicopters & Dornier aircraft to friendly countries. He also successfully worked on special assignment as the Project Manager for launching of civil version of Dornier DO-228 aircraft including its certification within a record time.
 
His past 35-plus years of experiences in HAL are in a wide array of business verticals of engine, aircraft, space along with corporate functions cover roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, assembly, engineering, strategy planning, project management & international marketing
Shri Saket Chaturvedi

Shri Saket Chaturvedi is a graduate in Electronics Engineering from MITS Gwalior, M.Tech. in Digital Communication from MANIT Bhopal, MBA in Marketing and is a Project Management IPMA Level-C Certified Professional. He is also Certified Energy Manager cum Energy Auditor by Bureau of Energy Efficiency. He has done Leadership Development Program from IIM, Ahmedabad.
 
He joined HAL in 2004 and has served in various capacities and departments in Nasik such as Plant Maintenance, Outsourcing, MiG ROH, Business Development & Projects. He also led the HAL joint venture, IRAL (Indo Russian Aviation Limited) as CEO (IRAL) and subsequently took over as General Manager of Aircraft Overhaul Division, Nasik in July 2020.
 
Under his leadership as General Manager, the Aircraft Overhaul Division, Nasik took up the challenge to reduce the ROH cycle time of Su-30MKI aircraft and successfully achieved cycle time of 15 months against the stipulated cycle time of 22 months by effectively utilizing project management tools. This ensured quick turnaround of aircraft thereby increasing effective utilization of Total Technical Life (TTL) of the aircraft and increased availability of aircraft enhancing operational preparedness of IAF.
 
He had been the architect of indigenous development of repair technologies for 40 types of non-repairable LRUs of SU-30MKI aircraft, which is major step towards strengthening self-reliance and achieving Atma Nirbharta in Su-30 ROH.   
 
For the FY 2021-22 and 2022-23, he steered the Aircraft Overhaul Division to not only achieve but exceed the Su-30 ROH task of 14 and 11 aircraft respectively by consistently producing 20 aircraft each year. The Division was awarded as Best Performing Division for the category “Physical Performance” continuously for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22.
 
Further, showcasing the capabilities of Aeronautical Industry, he led the team and successfully executed the largest ever Defence Expo 2022.

Shri Shailesh BansalShri Shailesh Bansal

Shri Shailesh Bansal, aged 47 years, is an alumni of Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur.

He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India ((FCS 5064) as well as an Associate Member of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India. He is also a qualified Chartered Secretary from the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators, U.K.

He has been appointed as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer w.e.f. 28th March, 2023.

He was holding the position of Joint Company Secretary in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited since 2014 and appointed as Compliance Officer of the Company w.e.f. 1st November, 2022. 

He has a vast experience in both Public Sector and Private Sector in managing overall Corporate Affairs of the Companies. 

During his career of over 22 years, apart from managing day to day affair related to Corporate Law & Secretarial Matters, RBI, FEMA, Audit, Costing, MIS & Budgeting Matters, he has successfully managed some of the important assignments like handled IPO worth around 4100 Crore, OFS more than 7800 Crore, sale/transfer/acquisition/takeover/de-merger of undertakings, formation of Joint Ventures with foreign entities, dealt with Corporate Laws/Code/Regulations related to U.K., Mauritius, Hong Kong and Netherlands, etc.
